A typical day includes starts 9:00am with an art warm up such as sketching, Students will then work with 2D materials until lunch between 11:30 - 12:00pm. After lunch students will switch to 3D sculpture and clay until the afternoon snack break. Breaks can be taken outside in the Art Garden. At 3:45pm we begin to wind down until dismissal at 4:00pm.

Each child should bring 2 snacks and a lunch. A water bottle is also suggested. Please do NOT bring toys or games.

Every student will be able to eat a hot school lunch provided by OCPS, at no extra cost. Students will be able to eat in the IHS cafeteria at our designated time; this will be separate from the IHS Summer School student lunch time.

Students may bring their tablets or phones for emergencies. They will NOT be able to use their devices during camp.

In the “Registration” process, there will be a section to complete if your child has any medical conditions. Also, please email us any other medical needs or accommodations.

Please use the Bus Loop entrance (right at the 2nd stoplight) to pick up & drop off your student. This can be accessed starting at 8:45am. A map and directions will also be provided before camp begins.

Students will be supervised at all times by an OCPS certified educator (Ms. Sabrina or Ms. Alice). Students will have access to restroom near the Art Studio. At no time will AAO campers interact with high school students. Our Art Studio is located in the Elective Wing; separate from the main building. Parents are welcome to tour the studio space at drop off, if needed. Please let us know if there are any accommodations needed that will help your child feel comfortable!
